Directions to Starlight Llama Solar Bed and Breakfast

Starlight Llama is located at 940 Chesterfield Road, Florence, approximately 10 minutes drive from Smith College.  Florence and Leeds are a part of Northampton; please don’t worry when you see these names. 

From I-91 North:

Get off at Exit 20, the first Northampton exit. You will be on North King Street. Turn right onto Bridge Road at the intersection of King and Bridge Road (there is Pride gas station with a Dunkin Donuts ahead on the left, D’Angelo’s ahead on the right). Proceed on Bridge Road until it ends at the rotary at Look Park and Route 9. Turn right at the rotary onto Route 9 West. See FROM LOOK PARK directions below.

From I-91 South:

Get off at Exit 19, the second Northampton exit.  At the bottom of this intersection get into the middle lane and go straight onto Damon Road. Stay on this road (it become Bridge Road, Florence) until it ends at the rotary at Look Park and Route 9 West.  Turn right at the rotary onto Route 9 West.  See directions below FROM LOOK PARK. 

From Amherst or Hadley:

Follow Route 9 West over the Connecticut River.  Get into the right lane and turn right onto Damon Road.  Stay on this road (it become Bridge Road, Florence) until it ends at the rotary at Look Park and Route 9 West.  Turn right at the rotary onto Route 9 West.  See directions below FROM LOOK PARK. 

From Northampton or Florence Center:

Follow Route 9 West (Main Street) through Northampton and through Florence Center to Look Park.  You will enter a rotary, continue on Route 9 West. Follow directions FROM LOOK PARK below. 

From Look Park:

Head west on Route 9.  Pass the VA Hospital and Look Restaurant, and turn left onto Florence Road in Leeds (between the gas station and a blinking yellow light).  There is a green sign: Leeds Center 1 mile.
Travel up Florence Road, passing the elementary school.  Downhill, use caution where the bike path crosses the road. Cross over a small bridge and take the next left at the small Leeds Post Office onto Reservoir Road.  (Note: Chartpak and a sign for Overlook Nursing home are on the right, opposite Reservoir Road.)  
Follow Reservoir Road to the end (2 miles) where it T's into Chesterfield Road.  

Turn right onto Chesterfield Road.  You will pass through the convergence of Kennedy and Sylvester roads. (Only Kennedy Road is marked.)  A neighbor’s winery sign should be visible at this intersection.  

Continue straight on Chesterfield.  After you pass Kennedy and Sylvester, our driveway is the 3rd on the left. You will only see a meadow and two small signs: one with B&B the other says 940. Enter with care, there is a curve and cars travel too fast. (If you pass us, Montague Road is ¼ mile beyond on the left.  If you see any houses on the right, just turn around.)  
Note, this is New England, so roads seemingly change names when they want to. Florence Road becomes Mulberry Street after you pass the elementary school, and then becomes Audubon Road after the Leeds Post Office. Regardless, we are easy to find!

 

From Cummington, Berkshire County or points West, follow Rt 9 East:

After passing through Williamsburg and Haydenville, you will drop down a long hill, and will pass a small golf range, smaller convenience stores, and a gas station on your right.  Turn right onto Florence Road in Leeds between the stores and the gas station.  There is a blinking yellow light here and a green sign that says Leeds Center 1 mile.
Travel up Florence Road, passing the elementary school.  Downhill, use caution where the bike path crosses the road.
